LAUREN PETERSEN

Lauren Petersen, born in Cape Town, South Africa, has called Australia home for the past 17 years. Singing since the age of 8 years old, she has proven to be a formidable top liner songwriter, penning many of the melodies and chorus lines appearing in the Hip-Hop / R&B group State Defined’s song repertoire for their upcoming album. Lauren has collaborated with Lionel Cole, female rapper/songwriter, Lia Maja, and Australian pop producer, Jhay Cabrera, and is currently working on her solo EP. Lauren turns to songs of many past and contemporary artists from all genres such as Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Led Zepplin, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston and Al Jarreau, all who influence her individual and unique sound.
